Search that works is one of the biggest levers for turning browsers into buyers. Every QuicShop storefront includes keyword search with autocomplete and filtering — no setup required.
Search from the header
Your storefront has a search bar in the header. As a shopper types, autocomplete suggestions appear so they can jump straight to a match.
The results page
Pressing enter or selecting a suggestion lands the shopper on the /search results page, showing everything that matches the query.
Narrow with filters
On the results page, shoppers can filter results by category, price and other product attributes — the same filtering system used when browsing a regular product grid, so it behaves consistently across your store.
Current limits
These are known gaps, tracked on the roadmap — not bugs to report:
- No typo tolerance — a misspelled query won’t be corrected or fuzzy-matched.
- No synonym matching — searching one term won’t surface products described with a related term.
- No merchandising controls — you can’t yet manually boost or pin specific products in results.
To help shoppers find products, make sure your product titles and attributes use the words your buyers actually search for. See adding products.
Frequently asked
Do I need to set up search?
No. Search works out of the box on every storefront — there's nothing to configure.
Does search fix typos or understand synonyms?
Not yet. A misspelled query won't be auto-corrected, and searching one term won't surface products described with a related word. Both are on the roadmap.
Can I boost or pin specific products in search results?
Not currently. Merchandising controls to manually rank products in search aren't available yet.
